Older Adults
55 +

Even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.

Isaiah 46:4

As we age, we bear battle scars.  Every life does.  Those who are 55 years of age and older at SSB often seek each other out to compare scars, laugh about life, or just help each other with the journey ahead.  The journey is not over but, as we get older, the finish line seems to approach that much faster.  Our desire is that our older brothers and sisters in Christ would join Paul in saying, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith" (1 Tim. 4:7).

Sunday Mornings

Sunday School

8:45am-9:45am

There are four Sunday school classes that most of our older folks easily find a home in.

Worship Service

10am-11:15am

Our more senior adults are the backbone of each Sunday morning worship service.  They help to lead us in worship and often reflect the wisdom of a mature relationship that help others in the sanctuary to follow suit.  Our music style is a mix of contemporary praise songs and traditional hymns.  While many stand during worship music, if you find your legs weary, relax and join us as you are seated.

JOYOUS HEARTS

Second Wednesday of the month @ 10am

The second Wednesday of each month is "Joyous Hearts."  This is a morning gathering at Standing Stone Bible in room 100 for those ages 55 and older.  This is open to any and all, whether a part of SSB, outside of SSB (at other churches or no church).  This runs from 10am until about 11:30am and includes treats, fellowship, a speaker, a devotion, and music.

Life Group

1st & 3rd Tuesday Evenings

7:00 - 9:00 pm

Life Groups are small Groups studying the Bible together and serving one another.  Our most senior folks gather for some time learning in the Bible, hearing of the joys and sorrows of life, and spending time in prayer for one another.  Most often the evening is finished with desert.  So, keep your fork.
