SSB Prayer Prods – September 24, 2026
1 Peter 2:1-1-6
1So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. 2Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— 3if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good. 4As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, 5you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6For it stands in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”

HEALTH:
Ron G - blocked carotid artery
Noah J - recovering from car accident last week (still sore; began PT this week)
LeighAnna's mom (Karen) recovering but diagnosed with a chronic heart failure & a kidney disease.
Linda P - cataract surgery on second postponed to the 28th (maybe later)
Joe & Elaine - Mayo trip this week (9/23-26); Daughter Sara drove them up; MRI tomorrow and doctor visits Friday
Surgery recoveries: Kathy A - feeling MUCH better, Barney O (eye), and Dave W (cataract)
Drew (Ron & Kathy's grandson) - chemo on Mondays (ER visit on Saturday but okay); cancer is aggressive/as is the chemo
Summer L – testing for a possible eye condition impacting her sight.
Linda W –Chemo treatments
Tony B continues to deal with some facial numbness and pain
Betty W - hospice care; pacemaker is working it's way out from behind the skin (much danger of infection) - unable to treat
Mike N - back surgery upcoming (10/5); Joyce's blood numbers slightly better

James 5:16, Pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. NIV- The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
