Psalm 71:17-21
17O God, from my youth you have taught me,
and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds.
18So even to old age and gray hairs,
O God, do not forsake me,
until I proclaim your might to another generation,
your power to all those to come.
19Your righteousness, O God,
reaches the high heavens.
You who have done great things,
O God, who is like you?
20You who have made me see many troubles and calamities
will revive me again;
from the depths of the earth
you will bring me up again.
21You will increase my greatness
and comfort me again.

Venezuela earthquakes recovery & rebuilding efforts (Samaritan's); followed by recent Columbia earthquake

Immigration/border/human trafficking; debt; drugs; gender confusion/homosexual/living together; CRT/Wokeness; ai dangers; censorship; military/police/fire/border patrol (ICE)/cyber security; foreign relations; abortion/ivf/mail order pill
US Gov’t – SCOTUS, POTUS, COTUS – John Thune, Mike Johnson, Donald Trump & 2026 elections; DSA wins

Ben Sasse & family (tumors have shrunk by 80%; yet still terminal)

HEALTH:
Deta's surgery (retina) went well; follow-up showed all looks good. She is to lay facedown or on side for a spell.
Ron & Kathy's grandson (Drew) has cancer... surgery tomorrow (8/13)
Jade W- diagnosed with focal onset epilepsy and will begin some medicine to reduce likelihood of seizures
Linda W – significant improvements in cancer and is continuing treatment.
Several in recovery: Tony B (broken facial bones), Shirley S (shoulder/arm), Kathy A (facial pain & balance), Debbie S (lung infection)
Betty W - hospice care
Mike N - back surgery scheduled for September
Lacy W - friend Maddie still in care facility

James 5:16, Pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. NIV- The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
