Christ+ Equipped for the Work

Ephesians 4:7–16 shows that Christ grows His church by giving different people different gifts, not so they can stand apart, but so they can equip one another and build up the whole body. Church growth is therefore not primarily about becoming more “seeker friendly” or simply increasing attendance—it is about maturing believers who are equipped and actively doing the work of ministry.
