More Than Decoration: Life After the Straw

Continuing the image of leftover Christmas straw, we are reminded, that while Jesus came and is coming again, He is also present now by His Spirit. Jude contrasts false believers who look religious but are spiritually empty with true believers who are actively being built up, praying in the Spirit, guarding themselves in God’s love, and waiting for Christ’s mercy. Straw without life is only decoration, but faith rooted in Christ endures.
