Encouraged to Build: Christ at the Center of the Table

In preparation for communion, we consider Haggai and 1st Corinthians showing that the Lord’s Supper is not centered on us but on Christ. Through five parallels—self-examination, Christ as the true temple, God’s presence, cleansing from uncleanness, and future glory—we are called to come to the table with reverence, repentance, and renewed focus on Jesus.
