Encouraged to Build: Altars That Last

From Haggai, we are warned against investing our lives in temporary “tents” while neglecting the eternal “altar” of devotion to God. Just as Israel prioritized their paneled houses while God’s temple lay in ruins, believers today can focus on comfort, possessions, and success instead of seeking God’s kingdom first. The call is to rebuild the altar through obedience, self-control, holiness, and a life devoted to Word, fellowship, worship, generosity, and gospel witness.
