Encouraged to Build: Tents or Altars

God called these people to “consider their ways” after they neglected rebuilding His temple while focusing on their own comfort. There is a contrast in building temporary “tents”—career, wealth, possessions, reputation—with building eternal “altars” through devotion to Christ, faithfulness, and kingdom priorities. Believers are called to live as pilgrims, seeking first God’s kingdom and building their lives on Christ rather than on the temporary things of this world.
